MagLifestyle showcased its latest Spring/ Summer 2025 collection at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2024 to an audience of fabulous fashion aficionados and enthusiasts alike. The show was a celebration of style and glamour in all of its finest glory and diversity.
The Aurora is a collection inspired by the beautiful northern light – or more specifically the rare blood aurora. Its rayed structure resembles spears with arcs and curves that are shaped like fiery dragons. The Aurora’s flaming red energy represents the passion and empowerment for women of today.
One of the stand out looks was an earth-tone midi knit dress slashed at the bodice with hand-stitched mesh wave and radiant drops of red sequins that carries a host of meaning true to the origin of aurora. A series of ruffled lightweight chiffon looks come in different variations with rome rib band neckline, cuffs and waist. It perfectly interprets the everyday closet of any style conscious woman.
Ruffled tulle is incorporated into the menswear pieces – a new territory explored by MagLifestyle. These menswear pieces find their middle ground between the typical gender aesthetic and expectations. The masculine and feminine elements are united as a concept called ‘human wear’.
Dazzling embellishment on black dresses, jackets and pants twisting the wave of brightness into the darkness of night aurora. But the star of the show was the fine detailing of diamante dangling fringe, glitzy sequins, tulle petals as well as ostrich and bird feathers rendered into 3D flower-shaped appliques for the gowns. These are all MagLifestyle’s signature that have been elevated for this new collection.
